This is my family's favorite classic pancake recipe.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/4 cups mik
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 - 1/3 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

I need a good pancake recipe! Have you ever tried this with whole wheat flour? Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteI have not made this one with whole wheat flour yet, but I'm pretty sure it would work just fine. They would probably be a bit denser, but other than that I don't think there should be much difference at all. If you try this with whole wheat before I do let me know how it goes :)
ReplyDeleteMm, thanks for the recipe! I'll add this to my list of pancakes to try!
ReplyDeletewe love pancakes around here I make up the dry mix and keep it in a container with a tight lid then whenever we want pancakes it is easy to fix just adding the liquid ingredients
ReplyDeleteThose look delicious
